Hoops

I had an opportunity to pursue a new path in my career. The Activities Director where I work was moving on to a manager position. I called the house manager, got her voice mail and left a message for her to call me back. There were a few questions I had. A couple of days later a co worker calls me and says the Mgr wants a resume. The next day I take it in and the Asst. Mgr tell me I need to fill out a job app -- new job, same employer (?) I take the job app in and wait. I call the Mgr, leave another voice mail that I have a few questions. Wait. The owner is coming for a visit. Wait. Today I call work for a whole different reason and find out the job was filled. I never got my questions answered, but then again they didn't get my proposal on how the whole activities program could be revamped to make it more inclusive to all residents with out adding any expense to budget. I also got to read parts of 6 books on activities to engage people with dementia and watched 2 videos on more effective communication with Alzheimers residents. I'm sure God has something in store for me!
